For more than 20 years, Dave Goboff has carried his puppetry from New York to Weston, Florida, and now to Gainesville.

Community members gathered at Veterans Memorial Park in Gainesville on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, to honor military service members during the county’s annual Veterans Day celebration, despite frigid temperatures.

The route was originally designed by in 2024 for National Libraries Week and passes by all six campus library branches.

Book lovers visited the Friends of the Libray book house on Main Street for the start of the fall book sale on Saturday.

The University of Florida’s Chinese American Student Association hosted more than 250 people in the Grand Ballroom of the Reitz Union to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese harvest holiday observed on the 15th day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar. The festival honors family, unity and the full moon. Attendees enjoyed a variety of games, crafts and performances throughout the evening in celebration of the occasion.

Married couple Ben Roland and Sarah Luther run Braze Ranch together in Waldo, Fla. Their second annual Fall Festival kicked off on Oct. 4, running through Oct. 26.

Wilcox, who also acts in the production, says the play serves as a chance for her to come to terms with her past and says it helped the other actors do the same.

On Sunday morning, community members gathered in the shade outside First Archer United Methodist Church to bless their pets.

The UF Jewish community came together to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, on Monday at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
