Major Gifts and Planned Giving

From its first television broadcast in 1958 to its 24-hour public television and public radio programming today, WUFT has been enriching the lives of audiences in North Central Florida.

WUFT is a highly valued resource in our community, dependent upon the generosity of its viewers and listeners. In addition to annual contributions from thousands of members of Florida's 5 WUFT-TV, Florida's 89.1 WUFT-FM/90.1 WJUF-FM, and WUFT Classic, we are fortunate that many people who greatly value public TV and public radio provide significant gifts to WUFT both from their current assets and their estates.

Opportunities for supporting your public television and public radio stations include providing Major Gifts of cash or other assets of $10,000 or more. These gifts can be made at one time, or over a period of years. Planned Giving opportunities can take many forms, including:

  • Bequests
  • Charitable Gift Annuities
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Appreciated Securities
  • Real Estate
  • Retirement Plan Assets
  • Life Insurance Policies

As a department of the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, WUFT can provide you with the expertise and experience of the University of Florida Foundation to help you with major gift and planned giving considerations. If you would like to consult with us in person, please contact Natalie Karaoglanian. She will be glad to meet with you at your convenience to answer whatever questions you may have.
