After former Marion County Sheriff Chris Blair dropped out of the race for sheriff in July following charges of perjury and official misconduct, the remaining two candidates say they hope to put the agency back on the right path.

Marion County voters came out to the polls in the primary race for sheriff, after former sheriff Chris Blair was removed from office in May. Billy Woods won the Republican primary nomination and Dennis McFatten won the Democratic primary nomination.
