• WCJB: Columbia County kennel owner responds after 12 dogs die during air conditioning outage. "She explained a power surge caused the air conditioning unit at the boarding kennel to stop working. The fire department was able to intubate and save some of the pets."

• The Alligator: Gainesville’s beauty industry: The power of a nice haircut. "Whether it’s giving a nice haircut that builds confidence or providing a listening ear, barbers are one group in the beauty industry who contribute to the community around them. These barbers also facilitate personal connections with their clients that can span their entire lives and move through generations."

• News Service of Florida: Florida's unemployment rate remains at a near-historic low. "Florida’s unemployment rate remained at a near-historic low of 2.6 percent in May and has been unchanged since January, according to a report released Friday by the state Department of Economic Opportunity."

• WLRN-Miami: Artist who created viral duct-taped banana did not steal the idea, says Miami judge. "When Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan taped a banana to a wall at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2019 and sold it for $120,000, critics said it wasn’t art. In a lawsuit years later, another artist said it wasn’t original."
