Thursday’s shooting at Florida State University has reopened wounds for University of Florida students who survived a previous school shooting.

Susan Lorincz, the Marion County woman convicted of fatally shooting her neighbor, currently faces up to 30 years in prison. The victim’s family spoke out in hopes the court will order the maximum punishment at her sentencing on Nov. 25.

Law enforcement are still working to identify the man who shot a woman in the leg and stole her belongings in the Depot Park area.

Law enforcement surrounded the house and negotiated with Albert Shell Jr. for two hours before he surrendered without incident.
