The Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco has a program where students go undercover to curb businesses selling alcohol to minors. Some feel that this program is ineffective at catching people who regularly sell to minors.

At the end of its one-week campaign, Eat The 80 raised $3,000 for meals to give away to families. The money will provide meals for four or five families over the next month.

While the Live Oak Police Department is getting body cameras for its officers to wear, other agencies in the area aren't as receptive. Privacy and cost are issues they want to look at.

The State of Florida Commission on Ethics decided sufficient probable cause did not exist in eight of nine allegations against Live Oak city councilman Adam Prins. The initial complaint against Prins was filed by Live Oak Mayor Sonny Nobles Jr.

A woman was shot while calling 911 to report her husband's drunken, aggressive behavior. The woman, who was shot in the forehead by her husband with a .38-caliber handgun, survived.
