Two hundred vendors and people from across Marion County turned out at the McPherson Complex Saturday for Marion County Day, an annual festival celebrating local pride.

The Gainesville City Commission approved more than $9.3 million in city renovations at a meeting last week. The funding will support projects that will restore historic buildings, improve the city’s emergency operations facilities and renovate community spaces throughout Gainesville.
