Smokey driving conditions in Lafayette and Levy Counties

There are several piles of brush burning in Lafayette and Levy counties that are causing smoke issues on US 27 and CR 340.  Florida Highway patrol advises motorists traveling in these areas to drive with care, especially during early morning hours, by reducing their speed, watching for advisory signs, using headlights on low beam, and using alternate routes if possible when there is reduced visibility.  Smokey conditions are expected to continue over the next several days.
