The Gators football program signed a majority of its 2024 class back in December on Early Signing Day. On Wednesday, they added a local Gainesville receiver to the mix. Preferred walk-on David Schmidt comes to the team from Newberry High School. The 5’10 receiver will stay in Gainesville for his college career and play for Billy Napier’s Gators beginning in the Fall.
