Tremendous economic power is being consolidated as broadcast corporations continue to merge with one another.  New age media economics can be characterized by a small number of local television news station operators owning hundreds of local news stations across the country. University of Delaware Professor Dr. Danilo Yanich says this pattern of consolidation is related to the decrease in local content seen during television newscasts.  He explains how these findings can impact virtually every community in America.
