In the wake of allegations of misconduct at an event in Panama City Beach, the University of Florida's Zeta Beta Tau chapter will close as of Tuesday. Members of the fraternity were accused of disrespecting wounded veterans.

When Swamp Head Brewery moved into their new location, off Southwest 34th Street in Gainesville, in January, they saved one acre of their land for conservation. The brewery is working toward creating an environment that is reflective of their tasting room, “The Wetlands.”

While Palatka’s government hopes to attract visitors to their area with the riverfront development project, a local business owner has his own idea for bringing in more people.

Fields, a fifth generation resident of Putnam County, said that reopening City Cafe is his way of “preserving a little bit of history.” Although the space on St. Johns Avenue in Palatka has seen a number of businesses – and owners – the “little items like that are still here.”

The Florida Department of Education has extended the deadline for input on its new standardized exam by a week.

Each year, from late January through April, thousands of bright Azaleas bloom throughout the park.
