Marion County seeks election workers for 2024

By

Marion County is looking for more people to work the polls. Starley Ard, public relations coordinator with the Supervisor of Elections Office, says they need poll workers for the 2024 election cycle. She says precincts in Citra, Fort McCoy, McIntosh, Micanopy, Reddick, and Umatilla specifically need additional staffing.

Ard says poll workers must be registered to vote in Marion County and be able to work a 14-hour shift on Election Day. They also have to do a training before the election. She says Marion County election workers earn between $155 and $240 dollars, depending on what role they have.
