Man Sentenced To Total Of 34 Years In Prison In 2016 Killing Of Rapper Shay Baby

A man has been sentenced to 19 years for second-degree murder and another 15 years for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after killing a rapper in 2016.

On Wednesday, 31-year-old Ishmael Keith Daniels pleaded no contest for the 2016 death of Rashay Garrison, also known as "Shay Baby."

The shooting took place on May 2, 2016. Daniels pulled up in a rental next to Garrison's parked car in Gainesville. Police said Daniels fired more than 10 shots from a rifle through the passenger window into Garrison's car, hitting him multiple times.

According to a police report, Daniels told his passenger that he was offended by a rap video Garrison put on YouTube.
