Charges pending in deputy involved crash


Two men are facing a number of charges for an accident involving an Alachua county Sheriff’s Deputy this weekend. Deputy Matthew Bugg was injured in a head-on collision when one of the accused was helping his brother flee a different crash. ASO Sergeant Todd Kelly says the accident was incredibly violent.

Gainesville Police Department Corporal Angelina Valuri says the men are looking at charges for DUI, felony reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.
