Alachua County Animal Resources is hosting its annual summer adoption event on Saturday.

Its shelter is very crowded, and the county is seeking help in finding homes for as many animals as possible this weekend. The event, titled "Summer Lovin’" is Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 3400 N.E. 53rd Ave. in Gainesville.

The county hopes to find new homes for 100 dogs and cats currently at the shelter. Pets will go home with goodie bags, their necessary shots, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
