On December 25, 2016 at 5:30 a.m., the LCPD responded to a report of a man shot in the front seat of a vehicle at 596 SE St. Johns Street.  Officers arrived to find an unresponsive man, later identified as Cory Montreiel Fluellen, 41, with a single gunshot wound to the chest in the front seat of his vehicle.  He was pronounced dead, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement also responded to investigate the crime scene.

As of late Sunday, there were no known suspects to the shooting and the Lake City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying anyone involved with this crime.  Anyone with information should contact Investigator Ivan Useche at (386) 758-5477, Crime Stoppers at (386) 754-7099, or submit an online tip via http://www.columbiacrimestoppers.net/ .
