Florida Now Has 2 Million Valid Concealed Weapon Licenses

News outlets took notice in April as the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services approached the issuing of its 2-millionth concealed weapon permit.

The following month, the state surpassed that figure.

As of April 30, there were 1,996,290 valid licenses, and by May 31, the department’s monthly summary report showed the number had increased to 2,010,869. At the end of June — the conclusion of the state’s fiscal year — the number was 2,021,777.
