Endangered sharks receive protection from harvesters

Movies and media often portray shark-infested oceans and shark attacks as a regular occurrence. But some species of sharks in Florida are actually endangered. The Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission has brought forward a motion to prohibit harvesting tiger sharks and three species of hammerhead sharks in Florida waters.  Florida's 89.1, WUFTFM's Paula Cunniffe spoke with Director of the Florida Program for Shark Research at the Florida Museum if Human Natural History, George Burgess, about what this means for sharks off the coast of Florida.
