The Alachua County Department of Health has partnered with the University of Florida to offer free COVID-19 testing on Saturday at the Southwest Advocacy Group Family Resource Center.
There will be 200 tests available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. No symptoms are required to get tested. Testing will be mainly drive-thru, however, walk-ups will be accommodated.
The procedure will include a less invasive nasal swab, which involves inserting a small Q-tip about half of an inch into each nostril.
There is no cost and no appointment required. All ages are welcome.
