Gators seek warmth in winter

Nature preserves in Alachua County have seen an increase in gator sightings after the recent decrease in temperatures. Instead of spending their time wading in the water, these reptiles have been out of the water and onto the walking trails in order to soak up sun during the day. Gators rely on the sun for energy to perform daily skills like hunting.
