Internet regulators ok domain name expansion

The “dot-com” days are set to become a thing of the past after internet regulators voted to expand domain names. This expansion allows most any company the opportunity to claim their own domain name if the price is right. Domain names like dot-apple, dot-law, and dot-sony are some of the examples of companies, organizations, and even indviduals able to take advantage of this expansion. WUFT-FM’s, Brittany Thompson spoke with Chief Marketing Officer for the 352 Media Group, Peter VanRaysdam who says the challenge with this domain name expansion will be policing the dot-this or that, especially since disputes are expected over different groups competing for the same domain name.
