A months-long narcotics investigation led to the arrest of a convicted felon and the seizure of over 11 pounds of illegal drugs from a Melrose residence.

An 18-wheeler whirs by a road sign directing southbound traffic on U.S. 301 toward the new bypass. The many trucks that drove through downtown resulted in a bottleneck. Now they opt for the quicker, alternative truck route.
