A grand jury has indicted three teenagers related to a triple homicide in Marion County.

The State Attorney’s Office for the 5th Judicial Circuit announced on Tuesday that 17-year-old Robert Robinson, 16-year-old Tahj Brewton and 12-year-old Christopher Atkins are all charged as adults.

Robinson and Brewton were indicted on three counts of first-degree murder. Atkins faces one count of first-degree murder. They were also charged with robbery with a firearm and tampering with physical evidence.

At the time of their arrest in early April, Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods said Robinson and Atkins confessed to shooting the three other teenagers on March 30 in Ocklawaha.

Woods said the suspects and the victims were involved in a gang and one group turned on the other. He said the gun or guns used were obtained through car burglaries.
