UF Students To Skydive With Teddy Bears For Children At Shands

Patients at UF Health at Shands Children's Hospital will receive gifts in a special way this weekend—from the sky.

Around fifty skydivers are expected to take part in Skydiving Boogie this weekend to provide teddy bears to children at UF Health. The event is hosted by the Falling Gators, the University of Florida's skydiving team, at Skydive Palatka.

The skydivers will attach teddy bears to their chest-straps in partnership with Canopies for Kids, the charity that provides the teddy bears.

Each skydiver is expected to make an average of 15 jumps over the course of the weekend.
