Chris O'Brien

Chris O’Brien is an anchor/multimedia journalist for WUFT News from Rockledge, Florida (321 always!). The Newsroom Godfather is closing in on four years working at the station and has covered or anchored all sorts of news, including hurricanes, crime, adaptive athletes, affordable housing and elections. Chris has interned with the CBS News Investigative Unit in New York City, WBIR Channel 10 in Knoxville, Tennessee, and right here in Gainesville at WCJB TV20. Much like his counterpart below, Victor, Chris has won several awards, including from SPJ, NBS and Hearst. When he’s not working, you can find the outdoorsy senior traveling the country/world and hiking in national parks or catching the Gators win another football game. A couple of Chris's goals in life are to go to all 63 national parks and to visit all seven continents. His next destinations are Ireland, Italy, Banff National Park (Canada), North Cascades National Park and Grand Tetons National Park. When he graduates in May 2021, he'll be working for Spectrum News Triad in Greensboro, North Carolina. You can keep up with all of Chris’s work at  christophercobrien.com or follow him on Twitter  @THEChrisOB.
