Welcome!

Welcome to the home page for the WUFT-FM Radio Reading Service!

Ever since going on-air in June of 1992, the RRS has regularly broadcast selections from books and newspapers to about 800 blind and visually impaired persons. Readings are broadcast to listeners via special radio receivers, which are loaned free to listeners deemed eligible by a medical professional.

The service offers more than 50 hours a week of readings from local and regional newspapers, books and magazines to keep listeners in touch with their communities and the world.

For more information, call Grier Ferguson, the Managing Director, at (352) 392-5200, or send an email to gferguson@wuft.org.
