Opening Statements Underway in Pedro Bravo Trial

A jury is in place for the Pedro Bravo trial, and opening statements are starting today.

A 14-person jury of eight women and six men, two of which are alternates, will oversee the Bravo trial with Eighth Judicial Circuit Judge James Colaw leading the proceedings.

Jury selection began yesterday morning and wrapped up just before 6 p.m. yesterday evening.

The trial is expected to continue for about two weeks.

Bravo was present for jury selection, but none of his family was with him.

Bravo is facing murder, kidnapping, and 5 other charges related to Christian Aguilar’s death in 2012.
