The City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs and 352Arts celebrates Black History Month with a double bill concert at Bo Diddley Plaza on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. The concert features the bands Dr. Neu & BluJaFunk, featuring renowned trumpeter Longineu Parsons, plus Billy Buchanan & his Rock ‘n Soul Revue.Billy Buchanan stopped by the 89.1 WUFT-FM studios to chat with WUFT-FM’s All Things Considered host, Dana Hill, about the concert and how developing an early love for classic soul and R&B inspired him to pursue a career as a musician.
