Legal questions raised over new practice by employers seeking Facebook access of applicants

Job applicants typically are asked to hand over resumes, cover letters, and contact information by prospective employers, but increasingly, they are also being asked to hand over the login credentials to their Facebook accounts. Florida's 89.1, WUFT-FM's Chris Peralta spoke with University of Florida Levin College of Law Professor Jon Mills about the practice, what employers look to get out of logging in to the accounts of job applicants, and the legal implications of the practice.

At the same time, concerns about the security of passwords have emerged. Chris Peralta also spoke with FDLE Computer Crime Center Special Agent Mike Duffy about the concerns related to password security.
