A man died from a gunshot wound Monday in the Hawthorne area of western Putnam County.
Deputies responded to a possible shooting about 11:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of County Road 20A, according to a news release from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. When they arrived, they found a man shot, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
No suspects were immediately named.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office hadn’t released any additional information, including the name of the deceased.
