Violent responses to anti-Islam video reinforce negative stereotypes, scholar says

TITLE HERE

Journalist, author and Islamic scholar Asra Nomani talks about the implications of a low-budget YouTube video that makes fun of Islam.

The film, "Innocence of Muslims," has incited violence. The U.S. embassy in Libya was raided last week and an ambassador was killed.

Several suicide bombings have occurred in response to the video, including one perpetrated by a 22-year-old woman in Kabul.

Nomani said the violence confirms, in many people's minds, the negative stereotypes against Muslims.
