Former ABC News executive weighs in on risks to journalists overseas and the future of the news industry

Continuing coverage of protests in the Middle East and Northern Africa has put reporters in the middle of violent attacks. The Committee to Protect Journalists has documented more than 140 assaults on the press in Egypt alone. The violence continues in other areas abroad. Former president of ABC News, David Westin, joined WUFT-FM’s Olivia Link in the studio and talked about physical assaults on journalists, as well as the future of the news industry.
