Ocala and Gainesville sandbag locations open

Due potential flooding from Tropical Storm Debby the City of Gainesville the Public Works Department is offering sandbags to city residents at the 405 Northwest 39th Avenue facility.  The pre-made sandbags are available today until 6 p.m. and will continue Wednesday at 7 a.m.   Sandbagging operations also continue today at several locations throughout Ocala until 7 p.m. this evening. Locations include:

- Tuscawilla Park at the 800 block of NE Sanchez Avenue

- Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex off West Silver Springs Boulevard

- Jervey Gantt Park on the SE 24th Street side

Sand Bags are also currently available at the North Multi-District and South Multi-District offices and at the Marion County Sheriff's Main Headquarters.
