Today's top Florida stories

Alachua County Fire Rescue is already using them, Gainesville police would like to start doing so, and plenty of other public safety agencies around the state are experimenting with drones in their operations. But a new state Senate bill would expand and codify in Florida law exactly what the agencies could use the aerial technology to do. The 2020 session begins Tuesday, and the bill would require at least two more Senate hearings and companion legislation in the state House over the next two months. (WUFT News)
