Teen Dead From Apparent Drowning At Blue Springs

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) — Officials say a Tampa Bay area teen is dead from apparent drowning after a visit to a north Florida spring.
The Tampa Bay Times ( http://goo.gl/sRCxpC) reports that 16-year-old Terry Marshall died Saturday at a Gainesville hospital. A day earlier, Marshall and his friends visited Blue Springs Park in Gilchrist County. Marshall's mother told the newspaper that the teen jumped into the water at one point and didn't come back up. A medical examiner has listed the preliminary cause of death as drowning.
