Police seek mentally ill man

By Forrest Smith-WUFT-FM

Gainesville police are looking for man with mental health issues who might be off his medication and could become violent.  Police Spokesman Ben Tobias says 48-year-old Craig Taylor has not been seen since Saturday, when he got away from his home at 3818 NW 25th Terrace.  He fooled his caretaker into thinking he was in bed by stuffing pillows under the covers.  Tobias says Taylor likes to frequent places where he can look at women.  He also says he has a dislike of police and could become violent toward them.  Taylor was last seen in a white T-shirt, tan pants, green shoes and wears large, round glasses.  He stands 5 feet 11 inches and weighs about 170 pounds.  If you see Taylor or know anything about his whereabouts, call the Gainesville Police Department at 955-1818.
