Fire and forestry officials are still on scene investigating the cause of the fire in Paynes Prairie that sparked Saturday. Wildfire Mitigation Specialist Ludie Bond says the cause of the fire is still unknown and although the it's been extinguished on top of the prairie conditions are ripe for more flare-ups for weeks to come.

The Florida highway patrol has reopened I-75 and U.S. 441 in both directions, although Bond says smoke from the 62-acre fire will continue to be a problem.
Shands is tending to 10 patients following the multi-vehicle crash that left 10 dead yesterday. The cause of the crash is currently linked to to poor visibility from the Paynes Prairie fire.
