Alachua County Bans Conversion Therapy

Following a similar ban in Gainesville, the Alachua County Commission voted unanimously to approve a ban on conversion therapy for minors. The ban prohibits licensed therapists from using conversion therapy on minors in an attempt to change their sexual orientation or gender identity. Therapists may still speak to clients about their views and share these views publicly.
