One Year Later, Identity of Human Remains Found In Newberry Septic Tank Still Unknown

A year after some human remains were found in a septic tank at a Newberry home, the mystery of who the person was continues.

The tank at the time was being pumped for a problem, which led to the discovery of the bones. The medical examiner's office since last August has been working to identify the remains.

Alachua County Sheriff's Office spokesman Art Forgey said, so far, all that's been determined is the remains were those of an adult.
