One hardware store chain is showing support for tornado victims

Only days after hundreds of twisters ripped across six states, one local business is already reaching out to victims of the devastating tornados. Alachua Ace Hardware Manager Christy Miller has stepped up and coordinated donation drop-off points at seven local Ace Hardware stores. Although not personally effected by the destruction, Miller says she felt the need to help out the victims.

“I have had family affected by hurricanes and other storms that have come through Florida. So, I know what situation they’re in and I just wanted to help,” she said.

Miller says the Ace Hardware corporate office has confirmed it is on board with its drivers picking up the donations from the stores and taking them to Alabama.
