The City of Archer will install new touch read water meters after misreadings and miscalculations of their former analog meters led to complaints about over-billing.

After the death of Judge Johnny R. Hobbes and the retirement of David A. Glant, one circuit court judge position has been filled, but one remains and must be filled by Dec. 2.

The Southside Recreation Complex in Lake City will complete the first phase of a $2.9 million renovation project this week. The renovations include new bleachers, concession stands, walkways, restrooms and refurbished softball fields.
