This Is The Part Of University Avenue That Will Be Closed To Cars For 2019 Gator Game Days


The City of Gainesville this week announced the closure of University Avenue from Buckman Drive to Gale Lemerand Drive three hours before, during and two hours after University of Florida football games.

It’s the third year that the city will close this stretch during games. City officials say it will help to keep pedestrians safe as thousands flock to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on these six Saturdays:

  • Sept. 7
  • Sept. 21
  • Sept. 28
  • Oct. 5
  • Nov. 9
  • Nov. 30
