"Tara” developments explained

In the City of Alachua, a city board denied a controversial permit that would’ve allowed for two stormwater basins near Mill Creek sink, as part of a larger group of so-called “Tara” developments.

WUFT environmental reporter Rose Schnabel was at the meeting, and host Kristin Chermont Spina spoke to her about what went down and how we got here.

Kristin Chermont Spina is a Multimedia Content Producer and the Morning Edition anchor for WUFT News.
Rose covers the agriculture, water and climate change beat in North Central Florida. She can be reached by calling 352-294-6389 or emailing rschnabel@ufl.edu. Read more about her position here.
