In Marion County, a girl with cerebral palsy is taking steps with a walker on her own -- all thanks to equine therapy.
With horseback riding, Hannah can now sit upright, pull on the reigns and turn the horse. She's also taking 5-6 steps with the walker without support.
Hannah's physical therapist says patients of equine therapy usually have a better awareness of their feet, a better ability to shift their weight and improved posture.
"You could tell she was so proud of herself and that she's come so far to be able to do that," Hannah's mother said on her daughter's first steps.
