Going green with grocery bags?

American consumers have been encouraged to find ways they can "go green." People have been encouraged to bring their own reusable bags to grocery stores in recent years to reduce the amount of plastic bags that end up in landfills. The city of San Jose, California actually banned the use of plastic bags in January of this year. Plastic bags are blamed for clogging up landfills. Just a few years ago in Marco Island Florida city officials had to battle flooding problems caused by plastic bags and other debris  which clogged city street drains. As Florida's 89-point-one WUFT-FM's Liana Charles reports, the state of Florida is moving slowly on the idea of plastic bag bans.
