A sexual battery incident that occurred Sunday has been turned over to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office after University of Florida Criminal Investigations Division (UFCID) determined it did not happen on the UF campus.

Officials at Wild Waters Water Park in Ocala are moving forward with plans to phase out the park and turn it into an ecotourism site by 2016. Long-time fans of the park are protesting the loss of one of Florida's crown jewels. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection hopes to curb the 2 million gallons of water the park drains each month from Ocala's water system.

Gov. Scott has signed a bill into law that will allow the sale of 64 ounce refillable bill containers known as growlers. This makes Florida the 48th state to allow this size growler to be sold.
