June is Gun Violence Awareness Month in Gainesville.
The city has partnered with organizations in the community to host events throughout this month.
WUFT's Tess Lippincott spoke with gun violence prevention expert Brittany Coleman last Friday on Gun Violence Awareness Day June 5.
Coleman is the manager of the city's program.
