Taking a nip out of the feral cat population

Free-roaming domestic cats are a problem in Alachua County. Operation Catnip is a nonprofit organization offering free spay and neuter vaccines for unowned free-roaming community cats at the Alachua County Humane Society this Sunday. Florida's 89.1, WUFT-FM's Corey Bachman spoke with Operation Catnip Director Shaye Olmstead about why feral cats make up a large portion of the cats euthanized at animal shelters.
