Seventh Case Management Hearing Scheduled in Pedro Bravo Case

Judge Denise Ferrero held a case management hearing Tuesday in the ongoing Pedro Bravo case.

More delays were announced.

Defense lawyer Michael Ruppert said due to scheduling conflicts in December,  depositions will be gathered throughout January. The depositions were previously pushed back in June and August.

The last scheduled deposition will be Jan. 30.

Bravo is charged with homicide, kidnapping, poisoning food and/or water with the intent to kill or injure a person, improperly handling human remains, tampering with physical evidence, giving false reports and lying to police.

Judge Denise Ferrero opted for another case management hearing on Jan. 14.

Assistant state attorney Brian Kramer said he will propose a cutoff at that case management hearing to set a date for the trial. He said he is optimistic for the trial to begin in the spring or the middle of 2014.
