Northwest Baptist Church To Host Snack Drive For Healthcare Workers

In an effort to serve and encourage healthcare professionals, Northwest Baptist Church will host a drive-through snack drive Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sept. 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The local church is organizing the "Let's Treat Those Who Treat Us" food collection drive to provide portable snacks for hospital staff working long hours throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gainesville residents are encouraged to bring pre-packaged snack items to the church located at 5514 NW 23rd Ave. Suggested donation items include:


  • Goldfish
  • Cheez-It Baked Snacks
  • Trail mix, or nuts
  • Fruit cups
  • Beef Jerky
  • Graham Crackers
  • Microwavable soups
  • Microwavable popcorn
  • Raisins
  • Potato chips, or crackers
  • Granola bars
  • Chocolate
  • Packets of tuna fish
